Our 2.5 year old son, Avi, has attended Bernal Babies since he was 9 months old and we could not be happier with how he has thrived under the care of Marisol and the other teachers. He has learned so much in their care play-based program. She gently teaches social/emotional skills like sharing, as well as pre-academic in Spanish and English with circle time, reading, number sense and art. Life skills like washing hands and cleaning up are incorporated through song. We love seeing how his creativity and curiosity are encouraged. If we have concerns about a behavior Avi has at home, she finds a way to address it at school and gives us good suggestions based on her observations. Her daily routines include home cooked meals. When we suspected that Avi had a gluten sensitivity, Marisol immediately adjusted his meals and his skin improved under her care. We are grateful for the strong relationships Avi has with everyone there. Sending Avi to Bernal Babies each day feels like sending him to be with family.
